Tupperware Tiles design

Mold making class taken during the fall 2016 semester at SAIC. Here is my initial thoughts into creating a colorful pattern reminiscent of tiles out of molded porcelain tupperware.

Tupperware Tiles

Mold making class taken during the fall 2016 semester at SAIC. Final iteration of colorful pattern reminiscent of tiles out of molded porcelain tupperware.

Each colored tupperware was made by mixing various colorants into the porcelain slip body, timed, then remaining poured out before pouring white porcelain slip on top. The result is a more cohesive form brought out with a simple clear glaze.
